So this past weekend, I decided to date myself. My mom was headed to the Greenhills area for a reunion lunch and I saw it as an opportunity to finally schedule some “me time”. :) Plus, I haven’t been to the Greenhills tiangge in the longest time so yay, shopping!
Luncheon Meat Set Meal (PhP110) | Shiok, Food Court, Promenade
Let’s start off with the food. It was 11am and I’ve had nothing to eat yet, so I was in search of a good breakfast. I chanced upon Shiok in the Promenade food court. It offered all sorts of Singaporean food (which I love), but my grumbling tummy demanded breakfast food so my eyes immediately zoomed in on this Luncheon Meat Rice Meal. I really, really liked this dish (crunchy meat, perfectly seasoned rice), but I can’t be too sure — it must’ve been my empty stomach talking.
Caramel Ice Blended (PhP155) | The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, Promenade
I skipped dessert after my meal because I was too stuffed. I decided to wait until mid-afternoon to refill my tummy. What better way to do so than with a caramel ice blended drink from The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf? My favorite!! A lot of people think this drink is too sweet, but I like it anyway.
Animal notepad set (PhP49) | Regina Gift Shop, Shoppesville, Greenhills Shopping Center
So these pads were one of my first purchases for the day. I got them from Regina, a very popular store in Shoppesville. It sells everything — EVERYTHING — from caps, booksmarks, stickers, stationery, candy, make-up, toys, etcetera. Gahd all the things your imagination could come up with.
My grade four self was always psyched when my mom would take me to this store to pick out stationery (which I used to collect). This time around though, I thought I was too old to get stationery or stickers (and where would I use them anyway?) so I settled instead on these cute notepads. You can never be too old for animal notepads!
Old school candies | Regina Gift Shop, Shoppesville, Greenhills Shopping Center
(1) Thumb lollipops with cracking powder (PhP7 each) ; (2) Big hand lollipop with cracking powder (PhP10); (3) Tarzan bubble gum (PhP2 each); (4) Mint Wafer (PhP2 each); (5) Coffee Caramel candies (PhP5 each)
And theeeeeeen I spotted these candies — treats I loved when I was a kid. I thought I’d never see Tarzan gum ever in my life again, but we were reunited and it felt so good. Hahahaha. Also, the mint wafers were addicting as always. The coffee caramel candies I didn’t like so much so I might just give those away.
Cotton pajamas (PhP100) | Ana Leah, Shoppesville Plus
I got myself a new pair of pajamas! My family knows that on weekends, I’m in PJ’s the whole day so this pair made me very happy. I’ve never owned mint green pajamas with polka dots on them!
Sheer mullet skirt (PhP650) | Summersault, Shoppesville Plus
I love the color of this skirt and the fact that it’s not the most extreme of mullets (which I can most likely not pull off). The layers in this one are understated, so it’s perfect for me.
Tank tops (PhP50 each) | Various stalls, Theatre Mall
Presenting my favorite buy: P50 tanktops! I can wear these at home and when out (nobody will ever know). They’re so comfortable and cheap and practical. And yes, the black tank top is apparently from Disney. HAHAHA.
So, yeah. That just about wraps up date day. :D On to the next one!
