It’s been too long since my family last went to Eastwood for Sunday lunch out so last week was seen as an opportunity to do just that. My dad picked out the place: Old Vine Grille, located at the Eastwood Mall, ground floor.
The place’s interiors are pretty spacious, decent, and nothing too fancy.
I got meself Feta Cheese Salmon Salad – Large (PhP580) to share. I thought it was a great dish (I love salmon and asparagus!!!), but it heavily lacked dressing so I had to rely so much on the individual parts to satisfy my taste buds.
My parents split this dish – Pasta and Steak (PhP595) – which was nothing outstanding. But the melted cheese on top of the steak was a great addition, making up for the ho-hum pasta.
Steak and Escargot (PhP350) — Jae was feeling all adventurous and wanted to try the snails, so we let him. Escargot tasted a lot like mushrooms and unseasoned chicken combined (i.e. pretty much tasteless). It was able to balance off the very tasty meat cuts.
Josh got Steak and Shrimps (PhP375), which was, yep, you guessed it: nothing great.
The Old Vine Grille dining experience, obviously, was very ordinary. But I would go back to Old Vine… only if somebody treated me hahahaha. I refuse to shell out my own money for Old Vine!! Haha!
To make up for the lackluster lunch, my family went to get Red Mango yogurt for dessert. I got the usual — plain original with fruity pebbles. Yum yum! :)
