I can’t believe I haven’t written about my El Nido trip! You see, my family spent Christmas break at El Nido, and we’re glad we did because the place is testament to how beautiful The Philippines is.
We stayed at Miniloc Island, one of four resorts in El Nido, and it was definitely the ideal home for a few days. Superb customer service, really chill atmosphere. The rooms were nothing fancy though — in fact, they were just “modernized” nipa huts — but we didn’t mind. After all, we just used them for when we needed to recharge.
When in beautiful El Nido, it would be a waste to stay at the hotel, so my family made the most out of the great outdoors.
Below are a few photos I took from the trip (photos of me though were taken by my mom or brother). Everything’s done in black and white because I thought a little drama was most fitting with the island’s vibe.
Enjoy, but please don’t steal my photos! :)
Teeny tiny plane we had to get on. It had a 13 pax capacity.
These ladies welcomed us through song as we touched down El Nido. Ang sungit ni Kuya. Haha.

Welcome to El Nido! Lol.
Miniloc Island’s beach front. The resort only has 50 rooms so the place was very exclusive and peaceful.
Shot from another angle. I loved the rock formations.
… which was extremely rocky so we had to wear slippers even while swimming.
Lagen Island. We went to try out their pool.
My dad chilling.

The hotel staff left bedtime stories for us each night. And no, I am not a mister.
