Yes, Jae, we’re at Army Navy. (So annoying the fez hahaha.)
Army Navy’s menu is pretty basic: no fuss comfort food and drinks to match. The food items can get a bit overwhelming though, so I find that ordering at Army Navy is a constant struggle–you don’t know which you’d like to try first! I’m sure this little boy can agree. I love how he’s seemingly so confounded by the fries, the iced tea, and the chicken. :(
Check out their Double Burger (PhP195) — two quarter-pound beef patties with generous add ons like onions, veggies, and their special sauce. I’m not really a burger person but Army Navy’s is one of the few that I would voluntarily go out of my way to eat. I like how their patties are so perfectly seasoned and cooked to the core.
You MUST try their Freedom Fries (PhP65). They’re potatoes I would eat greedily and reluctantly share! They taste a lot like McDonald’s Twister Fries, only they leave a sharper tang in your mouth. It’s best eaten when warm, definitely!
Cheese Quesadillaaaaas (PhP95). I’m not a huge fan of food packed with so much flavor so this dish was just okay for me. It came with salsa, but I didn’t even bother to dip my share because I wasn’t in the mood for even more flavor. Yeah yeah, boring foodie here.
And lastly… my baby: Ube Milkshake (PhP99). I’m not sure what type of ice cream they used for this, but I’m guessing it’s along the lines of Selecta or Magnolia. Flavor was obviously not outstanding (because you would have to use a more “sophisticated” ice cream to achieve that) but I enjoyed this milkshake as a whole. I rarely come across ube milkshakes so I now know where to dine in when I’m up for a cup.
All in all, I always enjoy my visits to Army Navy. Last time I went (which was only last week hehe), I ordered their Fearless Fried Chicken meal but I wasn’t too happy with it because the portions were tiny and there was too much breading. I hate, hate, hate that! I had to wait quite a while for my order to come, too. What a rip off for PhP165!
Do try out their other meals though, they are super worth the calories!! Oh yeah! :D
Another food post coming up! :)
