My family decided to treat ourselves following a lackluster Sunday lunch at The Old Spaghetti House. I loved my truffle oil pasta, but they weren’t too keen on their main courses (my brothers especially). So yeah, safe to say they were left underwhelmed by that lunch.
To make up for our ho-hum TOSH experience, we headed to Sebastian’s Ice Cream, now located in the Regis Center along Katipunan Avenue!
Sebastian’s Ice Cream’s flavors are segregated into five categories: best sellers, artisan, Pinoy favorites, sugar free, and seasonal favorites. Mom and Pop left it to us kids to decide on the flavors. Check out our picks:
We got our dad some Mocha Almond (PhP150/single) ice cream because he loves anything to do with coffee, chocolates, and nuts. It’s described in the menu as follows: “sugar-free coffee ice cream with a hint of cocoa, garnished with toasted almonds”. This was gone in a flash!
And for mom, we got Once in a Blue Moon (PhP140), “cheese ice cream with soft chunks of real Blue Cheese, topped with crunchy walnuts and Palawan honey”. She really loved the salty aftertaste of this ice cream!
Jae got himself a scoop of Cookie Dough (PhP100/single), yummy vanilla ice cream packed with chocolate chip cookie bits and walnuts. This best seller won’t disappoint!
Josh got himself a scoop of Red Velvet (PhP130) ice cream which literally just tasted like an ice cream version of the well-loved cupcakes. It was packed with cake bits, too, which were most welcome!
And little miss Sandiestar got a scoop of Peppermint Brownie (PhP130): “dark chocolate ice cream with moist brownie chunks and a peppermint crème swirl”. I love dark chocolate and peppermint, so I obviously had a grand time with my ice cream. So rich and filling, too.
Sebastian’s Ice Cream will forever be a favorite. Kudos to the man behind the awesome ice cream: Ian Carandang!
