Mom came home one day and handed me this pretty gold box. Let’s see what’s inside, shall we?
Goodies for the nails and hands from Orogold Cosmetics: lotion, oil, a buffer, and a nail file! Awesome!
You see, when your nails aren’t prepped and painted (and they should stay this way for quite some time, too, to give them a break from the chemicals), one should still practice proper care for the nails. If you don’t know how to work the cleaning and maintenance tools correctly, a quick trip to a nail salon for some professional cleaning is most ideal.
Buuut if you want to rid of the hassle of booking appointments at nail salons and are on a budget, it wouldn’t hurt to invest in your own nail file and buffer. These two are easily able to shape and polish your nails, ensuring that they are in their best form always. After filing and buffing, best to apply a non-greasy, aromatic lotion to your hands, too.
You can get yourself a box of these Orogold Cosmetics at the stall sandwiched between Steve Madden and Lacoste in the Eastwood City Mall, Quezon City. Pretty pricey at PhP2,550 though. Boo!
And when you decide to paint your nails, here’s a suggested shade, inspired by new Orogold stuff: OPI’s Pros & Bronze from Serena Williams’ Grand Slam collection. (Thank you, Tin!) It’s a shiny, shimmery, and splendid bronze.
The formula’s very watery so it took quite a while to fill up each nail with color. I applied about five coats to each nail to achieve this. (Yeah, five!!) This polish could also double up as a top coat if you’ve already painted your nails a nice, solid color. It will accentuate each nail with gold, pink, orange, red glitters.
Here’s a closer look. Such a bright, lovely shade for this chill Sunday!
